We’re crowdfunding to make assistive apps for autistic people

We’re launching a social enterprise subsidiary — a tech company — to fund our nonprofit work by making apps that autistic adults can use to improve our lives & outcomes.

We empower autistic adults and support our loved ones through providing education, assistance, social opportunities, and advocacy.

Education

We will develop and record free online seminars and courses focused on strategies for navigating life and increasing well-being for autistic adults in-house and with partners.

Assistance

We will establish and contract with a for-profit subsidiary corporation to develop assistive apps for autistic people. Using subscription funds generated by this subsidiary, we will fund direct assistance
work.

Social Opportunities

We will partner with existing virtual and in-person communities for autistic people and endeavor to support their
growth and flourishing.

Advocacy

We aspire to change the focus of ASD research and treatment projects that receive funding to be on autistic wellbing.

Dr. Shannan Palma provides a plain language overview of the diversity of bodies and analyzes assumptions about sex and gender that don’t account for that diversity. She explains how all of these wrong assumptions impact how people (autistic people, in particular) understand and experience their sexuality.
